A day at Papa's House

When we spend a day with Papa (Wahrer), we never know what he may have in store for fun. This picture reminds me of all the fun, silly and scary things that my dad did with us as kids (and still does). Like the time that we moved into our house and found a mannequin's head in the back yard. Dad of course had a hay day with that. Anything from posting it on the bunk bed ladder only to hear a big thug in the middle of the night (Nick punching across the room because it scared the mess out of him when he got up to use the bathroom), or scaring all of the Beehives at my slumber party by putting it in the window after dark. I think the best is when he hung it from the shower for mom to find. Thanks for being so much fun dad.

A Day at the Fire Station

The Pendleton Fire Department hosted a Fire Awareness day for the local children. The boys got to see a helicopter and a fire trucks. I think their favorite part was going through the smoke house.
Spencer and Trevor loved to pretend to be Firemen in their new fire hats.

Spencer took this very seriously.

Was it worth the sacrifice?

I finally figured out how to blog! I think it's because I took the time to figure it out, however in the meantime, my 2 area rugs, cushion to the rocker and who knows what else was sacrificed in exchange of my knowledge on how to blog. The boys were just laughing having a good time. This is a normal thing in our house however when Trevor's laughing has turns into the "hysterical raspy, I can barely breathe" laugh and saying "do it again Spencer", then you know they are up to no good. Trevor co-arsed Spencer into having a little fun with the yellow acrylic paint. Apparently he opened it and flung it all over the wood floor and the two area carpets. Then they danced in it. After dancing in it they came into my room and started jumping on the bed (thank goodness the bed was striped today because I was washing the sheets). Then they started into the bathroom and squeezed paint down the toilet (which is when I discovered what they were up to). Moments like this is when you want to send them to the moon! Moments like this we will also laugh at later, however right now I am a bit "grumpy" (as the boys say), about the yellow spots on the rocker and rugs!

My Brothers

I was seven months pregnant at the time of this picture, however I love it because it has all four of my brothers in it. I am so lucky to have great brothers. This is the first that all four brothers had been together in many years. Heather is the only one missing from this pic. Hopefully we will all be together for Stephen's wedding in January. Let's plan on it!

My Three Sons

Trevor loves to pose for the camera. He is so photogenic... he definately dosn't get it from me.

Spencer is 2 1/2 . He loves plating with his big brother Trevor most of the time. They are best of friends and worst of enemies. I guess that's how it is when you grow up so close to a sibling.

Vincent is a great baby! He is cooing and smiling right now. It's so much fun to watch him discover the world around him.

I love this picture of the three boys because it shows each of their personalities. Spencer can be more serious and emotional, however he is very strong willed. Vincent... well it's hard to say right now but he's usually pretty content. Then there is Trevor, he is typically happy and very strong willed too.

From the Hospital

Kevin is a proud father of boy #3!

Spencer was trying to figure out what was in my hand and why I was holding this new baby! Oh, my roots... don't they look great!

Spencer didn't know what to think of baby Vincent, however Trevor fell in love with him immediately.
